Description

Blueberry waffles offer a combination of crispy edges and a soft, fluffy interior. The fresh blueberries add little pockets of juiciness, making each bite dynamic and satisfying. The buttery richness of the waffles is balanced by the tart sweetness of the blueberries. If maple syrup or blueberry compote is used, these add extra layers of sweetness, while whipped cream or yoghurt brings a smooth, slightly tangy note. The mix of warm waffles and fresh fruit gives the meal a balanced, comforting flavour.

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 150 g self-rising flour
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 100 g blueberries
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Foe serving:
  • 50 g blueberries
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp pecans (chopped)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the waffle maker.

  2. In a bowl add all the ingredients for waffles. Mix it all until well combined.

  3. Bake waffles until golden brown, for about 2-3 minutes. Time may differ, depending on the waffle maker.

  4. Serve warm waffles with fresh blueberries, pecans, a dollop of yoghurt and a drizzle of honey.
