Delicious open mushroom pie for mushroom lovers.
Simple vegetarian mushroom pie is so tasty you will be amazed.
Mix flour and butter with your hands until it makes small crumbs. Then add water, salt, and egg in a bowl and form a ball of dough. Next, wrap it in cling film and chill it in the fridge for 20 minutes.
On a pan with 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter cook leeks on medium heat, stirring occasionally until soft about 3-5 minutes. Next, remove it from the pan and place it on a plate aside.
Then add 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter to a pan and cook mushrooms on medium heat until soft, about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Then add garlic, leeks, nutmeg, salt and pepper, mix it and cook for 1-2 minutes. Set aside to cool down.
Take the dough and roll it out into a circle about 0.3-0.4 mm thick.
Put the mushroom filling in the middle and fold about 2 cm of the dough to the centre. Brush the edge of the pie with eggwash.
Bake for 30 minutes at 180 C. Then sprinkle with cheese and bake for another 10 minutes.
When ready serve warm or cold with some salad on the side.
