Description

Juicy, tender steak takes centre stage in this dish. It’s pan-seared to perfection, resulting in a slightly charred crust and a rich, meaty interior. The sautéed bell peppers bring a burst of colour and a hint of sweetness. Cooked until slightly softened yet retaining a touch of bite, they add a vibrant texture to the dish. Serve with soured cream, cheese, lime wedge, parsley and red onion for more flavour and nutrition.

Ingredients
  • 150 g beef steak (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 50 g rice (cooked)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tbsp soured cream
  • 1 tbsp Cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/2 lime
Instructions
  1. Preheat the pan with olive oil to medium heat.

  2. Fry peppers for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

  3. Remove peppers from the pan and fry steak for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  4. In a bowl add cooked rice, steak, peppers, avocado, onion, soured cream, cheese, and top with parsley and enjoy!
