The amazing strawberry cake that is so easy to make.
This strawberry cake is soft inside and crunchy on top with delicate berries. While strawberries are still in the season it is such a good idea to use them in cakes like this one.
Preheat the oven to 180 C.
Whisk butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
Add the eggs one at a time and whisk.
Next add vanilla paste, buttermilk, salt and flour, and mix everything until well combined.
Add strawberries to the batter and gently stir.
Mix all the ingredients for the crumble with your hands in a separate bowl.
Grease and dust with a flour baking dish.
Transfer the batter to the baking dish and top with crumble.
Bake for 35-40 minutes at 180 C. Check with a toothpick if it is baked through.
