Tender and Juicy Pork Steaks with Horseradish Sauce

Description

These pork steaks are best served with simple horseradish sauce and sauteed vegetables. It is ready in 30 minutes and high in protein and fibre, but low on carbs, so it is perfect for low carb lunch or dinner.

Ingredients
  • 3 pork steaks (about 450-500 g)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • For sauteed vegetable:
  • 1/2 courgette (halved and sliced)
  • 1 bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 white onion (halved and thinly sliced)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • For horseradish sauce:
  • 1 tbsp horseradish (grated)
  • 1 tbsp mayo
  • 1 tbsp soured cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
  1. Season meat with salt and pepper.

  2. Set aside for 10 minutes.

  3. Fry steaks for 4-5 minutes on the pan with olive oil on medium heat.

  4. Flip the steaks and fry for another 5-7 minutes on medium to low heat, covered with the lid.

  5. Remove steaks from the pan on the plate and cover them with foil. Let it rest.

  6. Remove the juices from the pan and add olive oil. Fry onion and bell pepper for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  7. Add the courgette and fry for 10-12 minutes, stirring frequently.

  8. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 1-2 minutes more.

  9. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce and serve your meal. Enjoy!
