Chicken and Barley Soup
Description
The soup starts with succulent pieces of chicken. The chicken is slowly cooked in a savory broth, absorbing the aromatic flavors of herbs and vegetables. Barley adds a rustic, satisfying texture to the soup, making it more filling than traditional chicken soup. This fiber-rich grain soaks up the flavorful broth and provides a pleasantly chewy bite that pairs beautifully with the tender chicken. A mix of carrots, potatoes, Brussels sprouts, onion, garlic, celery adds layers of flavor, color, and nutrients to the dish.
