Preheat the pot with olive oil to medium heat and add carrots, garlic, onion and cook for 5 minutes, until soft.

Then add all the spices and cook for 2 minutes, stirring ocasionally.

Then add lentils and water to cover the lentils by 2 cm. Cook for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the rice in salted water according to the packaging instructions.

Next, add the spinach and adjust the seasoning and cook for 5 more minutes.
