Rhubarb and Blackberry Crumble

I love how simple and quick is this dessert. When rhubarb is in season it is just perfect recipe to use it.

We have a fantastic combination of flavours, textures, and even colours in this dessert. This is so good when served with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Description

Rhubarb has amazing texture and I love the taste of it. It makes just the right combination with blackberries, and some almonds and becomes a scrumptious pud for any occasion.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C.

  2. In a bowl mix flour, salt, butter, ground almonds and sugar, and make it into a crumble with your hands. 

  3. Place rhubarb and blackberries on the bottom of the baking dish and sprinkle it with 2 tbsp of sugar.

  4. Top with crumbs and add almond flakes and sprinkle with 2 tbsp of sugar.

  5. Bake for 30 minutes until piping hot and bubbling.

  6. Serve with ice cream, clotted cream or whipped cream.
