Description

This is the perfect high-protein and low-carb meal. I like to serve it with some buttered green beans and garlic and chives mayo. And this is divine!

  1. Preheat the pan with olive oil on medium heat. Add onions and fry them for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Meanwhile, mix all the ingredients for garlic mayo.

  3. Then boil green beans in salted water for 5-7 minutes. Next, drain green beans add butter, and gently stir.

  4. Add sugar, balsamic vinegar and salt to the onions cook for 1 more minute and turn off.

  5. Next season steaks with salt and pepper and spread butter on both sides.

  6. Preheat the pan to medium-high heat. Cook steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side, to your liking.

  7. Then put a generous amount of caramelised onions on each steak and top with a slice of cheddar cheese. Cover with a lid for 1-2 minutes on low heat and let the cheese melt.

  8. And serve it.
